Tell Habit Textapp the habit you want to build. Every day at a time you choose, it texts you a single question: did you do it? Answer however you like: "yes", "did it", "not today". That's the whole loop. When the first habit sticks, add a second or a third.
Habit Textapp is an AI. Its replies are written by software, so it can get things wrong. It is not for emergencies or medical care, and it is for adults 18 and over.
There is nothing to install, no account to create, and nothing to memorize. You talk to it the way you would text a friend. It works on any phone that can text.
How it works
- Text the number above with the habit you want to build, like "run", "meditate", or "no sugar".
- Each day you get one check-in. Reply in your own words.
- Your streak builds. Ask how you are doing any time and it shows the last seven days.
- Ask it to invite a friend and it gives you a code to pass on. When your friend texts the number with that code, you each see whether the other followed through.

- Log today, with a plain "yes", "done" or "skipped".
- Show your streak and your last seven days.
- Invite a friend who then sees your check-ins.
- Move the daily check-in to a different time, like "check in at 7am instead".
- Add a second or third habit, swap one out, or drop one.

Why text instead of an app
Habit apps get opened less each week until they get deleted. A text arrives whether or not you remembered. Replying takes one word, and the buddy who sees your reply is the part that actually keeps people going.
Questions people ask
Is a real person texting me? No. Habit Textapp is an AI: its replies are written by software, and it says so.
Do I need to download anything or make an account? No. It works on any phone that can text, with a U.S. number, and your number is your account.
Is my number safe? We never sell or rent your information, and we don't use your messages for advertising. Messages are deleted 12 months after your last text. Details are in our privacy policy.
How do I stop? Text STOP at any time and the messages stop. To have your data deleted sooner, email contact@textapp.co.
