Tell Study Textapp what you want to learn about, in your own words. Every day, at a time you choose, it texts you one short fact about it. Curious? Ask why, or how it works, and get a plain answer. Every so often, ask it to quiz you on what you've learned.

 

Study Textapp is an AI, not a teacher. Its replies are written by software, so it can get things wrong. It is not for emergencies or medical care, and it is for adults 18 and over.

 

There is nothing to install, no account to create, and nothing to memorize. It works on any phone that can text.

 

 

How it works

 

1. Text Hi to the number above and say what you want to learn: black holes, Roman history, investing, the human brain, anything.
2. You get your first fact right away, and one more every day at 10am, or whenever you prefer.
3. Ask follow-up questions about any fact. Ask for another one whenever you want more.
4. Add a second or third topic and the daily facts rotate between them. Facts never repeat.

 

 

What you can ask it to do

 

• Explain a fact further, or answer a question about one of your topics.
• Send another fact right now.
• Quiz you on recent facts, and grade your answer.
• Show your progress: facts per topic and your quiz score.
• Add, swap or drop a topic, or move the daily fact to a different time, like "send facts at 7pm instead".
• Pause the daily facts without losing your topics.
• Stop at any time by texting STOP. Text START to come back.

 

 

Why text instead of an app

 

Learning sticks when it comes back a little every day. A text arrives whether or not you remembered, reading it takes thirty seconds, and asking "why?" is as easy as replying.

Is a real person texting me? No. Study Textapp is an AI: its replies are written by software, and it says so.

 

Do I need to download anything or make an account? No. It works on any phone that can text, with a U.S. number, and your number is your account.

 

Is my number safe? We never sell or rent your information, and we don't use your messages for advertising. Messages are deleted 12 months after your last text. Details are in our privacy policy.
